Peter Buege is enjoying his 15th year in the teaching ministry and his 11th year at King of Kings. Prior to King of Kings, he was the principal and upper grade teacher at Zion Lutheran School in Torrance, CA. His first year of teaching was spent in Burnsville, MN, where he taught grades 5 and 6 and coached boys’ basketball. He is currently teaching grades 3, 4 and 5 and serves as our school principal.
Peter grew up with his one sister and three brothers in Stevensville, MI, and attended St. Paul’s Lutheran where his dad was the principal. He continued his education at Michigan Lutheran High School in St. Joseph, MI, where he enjoyed playing soccer, basketball, and baseball. He spent the rest of his time playing trombone in the school bands and singing in the traveling choir. He then went on to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, to get his B.S. in education with an emphasis in history.
In July of 2002, he married his wife, Kris. They enjoy spending time with their three children.
When he’s not busy at school, you can find Peter working in his yard or in the garden. He also enjoys reading, watching football, traveling, drinking coffee, and grilling.
