Enroll Your Child Today

Our goal with the King of Kings Lutheran School’s preschool program is to assist parents in helping their child make a smooth transition from home to kindergarten. The children will take part in many different age-appropriate activities to give them experiences and a solid base for their future years in school. We will also provide many kinds of spiritual, physical, mental, and social experiences for the children. All trainings and instructions will be designed with Christ at the center.

Preschool Program

We offer two-, three-, four-, and five-day enrollment with half-day (from 8:00 AM to 11:45 AM) or full-day options (from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM) for children aged three to five.

Children will be given daily opportunities to learn about their Savior, Jesus Christ, through Bible lessons, chapel, prayers, and a Christian learning environment. King of Kings Lutheran Church preschool provides a developmentally appropriate program that is age-appropriate, as well as individually appropriate. Our curriculum is based on the HighScope educational approach, which supports children’s learning through active involvement in direct, hands-on experiences with people, objects, and events.

Our learning environment is arranged in clearly defined interest areas where children can learn and explore.
The areas include:

  • Math
  • Block Play
  • Dramatic Play
  • Creative Art
  • Manipulatives
  • Movement and Music
  • Sensory Play
  • Language and Literacy
  • Science

Meet Our Preschool Teacher

Mrs. Dawn Goetz

Preschool Director and Teacher

Dawn Goetz is our preschool teacher. She studied Early Childhood Education at Fullerton College right here in sunny California. Dawn has also worked as an instructional aide for the Garden Grove Unified School District in K-6 education for 19 years.

Spending time with her family and teaching children are some things Dawn is very passionate about. Dawn feels extremely blessed to be able to integrate God’s word into every aspect of her students’ learning. Creating, exploring, and discovering are major themes in her classroom. She enjoys watching the wonder on her students’ faces as they learn and discover new things. Dawn believes that each student is unique and that creating a rich environment filled with open-ended materials will lead the children to be critical thinkers and problem solvers. Hands-on experiences are something her students will experience on a daily basis.

Dawn would love to have your child be part of her preschool class. Please call and set up an appointment to meet her and tour the classroom today!
