Our Classrooms
At King of Kings Lutheran School, we offer a unique multi-grade classroom structure that benefits our students immensely. A multi-grade classroom is a natural extension of life in the real world and home life. Our students are developing social skills and learning as they interact with classmates of different ages and abilities.
Since our teachers are with students for two or more years, they develop a deeper understanding of each child’s individual learning style and needs. With this knowledge, our teachers are able to adapt lessons to the distinct needs of our students.

Kindergarten
Mrs. Nancy Sanchez
I have the privilege of teaching kindergarten here at King of Kings Lutheran School. I hold a dual degree from Long Beach State University in Child Psychology and Health Education, and completed a five-year program in doctrinal studies from Martin Luther College in Minnesota. I have also completed many courses in Early Childhood and Special Education, constantly striving to update my education and my curriculum.

Principal, Mr. Jon Plocher
Jon was born and raised in Michigan where he attended Lutheran elementary schools. After graduating high school from Michigan Lutheran Seminary, he attended Dr. Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. He graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. He was first assigned to teach here at King of Kings Lutheran School where he taught grades 5-6 from 1995 to 2000. He then accepted a call to teach at Christ the Lord Lutheran in Houston, Texas, from 2000 to 2004. There he taught grades 3-5 for one year before switching to grades 6-8 and serving as the school principal. In 2004 he accepted a call to teach grades 4-6 at Bay Pines Lutheran School in Seminole, Florida. After serving there for ten years, he accepted a call to return to King of Kings in 2014 to teach grades 6-8. In 2018, he also accepted the call to be the school’s principal. During this time, he graduated from Martin Luther College with a master’s degree in educational leadership.
In 1995, Jon married his wife, Mary. They have four children and one grandchild. In his free time he enjoys fishing, traveling, rooting for his Michigan sports teams, and playing games. His favorite Bible passage is 1 Peter 3:18, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever, Amen!” He is excited to help the students of our school grow in their faith in Jesus.
Campus Pastor
Brian Doebler
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. After completing my seminary training, I started as a pastor in Santa Ana, CA in 2001. Since then, I have served as a pastor in Texas, northern California, and Wisconsin as well. My wife, Jessica, and I were married in July of 2002. We have been blessed with four children. Two of our children still attend King of Kings. We live in the house next to the school. I enjoy working in the school teaching catechism to the 6-8th graders and leading in our weekly chapel on Wednesday mornings.
